Blessings in the name of our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ. This is a season of Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas unlike most of us have never seen in our lives. The truth is that there is not but a very few of living who have seen the fierceness and horror of a pandemic which has gripped the world. Unfortunately, for all of us the predictions by the leading experts in pandemics said the winter was bad. I don’t know if there are many who thought it would be this bad.
Yet, we must carry on. For Christians this is a normal state for we are always called by our Lord to carry on, persevere, and face persecution with the joy of the presence of our Lord, Christ Jesus. So I greet you with a Happy Thanksgiving, for we can give thanks and praise to our God for he has been steadfast in his love for us. We can thanks for the many small graces and gifts we haver received from his hand in this crazy year, 2020.
Regina and I are staying home this season, but we give thanks for modern technology that allows us to at least to reach out to our scattered family. We have some family on the other side of Virginia, some in South Carolina, and some in Arkansas. We will be able to talk and even see each of them. Thank you Lord Jesus.
